Should we give a fair advantage in pk for newbies?

I was wondering what do you like better?

either we give a fair advantage for newbies to fight experienced players
such as classic, keep the difference between pro and noob to items and hats.
So newbies can survive and compete against experienced players.

Or should a game forget that and reward those whom chose to spend alot of time leveling up, getting better gear, getting a better weapon and learning new skills ect. Such as on Zodiac
On zodiac newbies can ge killed in one shot and cannot compete against experienced players without being killed 50 times.

Though
This lets the old players feel their time was well spent and it gives newbies a reason to do things other than idle around in the main area.

No **** em

If the more experienced players come up against a newbie they should have enough skill to use the classic sword to beat them, giving them better damaging weapons would just make it easier for them.

Damaging weapons make people feel their time wasnt wasted gathering weapons.
Itl also make newbies do something instead of just idle and ask for dirty rp

Lmao, so basically a person who just started the game should be completely fairly matched against a person who has played the game for a while?

/logic?

No, but I think they should have the same equipment and perks. This will give them a chance and it relies on skill more than a credit card, account sharing and such.

5hift 06-25-2015 07:48 PM

Booooooring.

Seriously, wheres the fun in just being plopped into a level playing field?

People should have to gain the experience and equipment to bring themselves into the playing field with the veterans.

Zodiac may need very good gears and experiance but you dont get one shoted unless you're below lv.40, it is one of the easiest games to reach max level..

I can't answer, because I can't understand what softon is saying in op.
Is he trying to change Zodiac or iClassic?

I like the idea of new players having a perhaps "overpowered" ability of some sort. The catch is that if they play the server long enough they'll get an ability that's even better, so they won't solely rely on this one "overpowered" thing for the entire time they play even though it will seem like a very convenient feature when they first start playing.

newbies sould be weak but a functional newbie protection could be placed so they can walk

true
Im just using zodiac as an example since a newbie can be killed in one hit by a veteran.

Even if the fight is fair, the experienced player still has a better chance of winning.

I'm not sure what server you're talking about or if you're just asking a general question but it all depends on the game and the playing style of said game.

If it's an MMO like WoW then obviously experienced players deserve the advantage; they were once new too but worked to get where they are and it would be unfair to make it so new players had a fair chance without working towards it.

Newbie protection makes sense though, something to prevent them from being targeted/ganked by the veteran players. The protection should end at a certain level or time played though, sort of like how most RTS games work with their protection systems.

I agree

Let me translate

Do you prefer a game like classic where all players are on equal terms in regards to the damage of their weapons(skills determine winner) OR do you prefer a server like zodiac where players are in unequal terms in regards to weapon damage/levels/perks(skills,weapons,levels,perks determine winner)

After playing Delteria I can say both.

Should we give a fair advantage in pk for newbies?

let's disadvantage the higher skill, higher experience players, sounds great

because no one should be better than someone else through time and effort, we should all be equal
because yes
