Fann Issue on New Laptop

So yeah, looking back at that one thread I made I got this laptop two months ago. It's an HP 15 Notebook PC. The other day the fan on the left side started making these strange noises. It sounds like one of those portable foam fans. It's not too loud, but I like having a quiet laptop like it was before. There's no way it's been overheating. I feel under it regularly and it feels fine. I updated Windows with the recent updates and everything. Does anyone know what could cause this?

The fan might be broken or loss, Go see Handy Manny (PC Repair Person thingy) to help it fix it for you, This has happened to me before.

Should I try to take it to Best Buy first to have a look t it since that's where I bought it from? I'm just worried about the cost to fix it.

It's under warranty so they shouldn't be able to charge you.

My 5 year old Sony vaio laptop has a fan that sounds like a jet engine, is it possible to get a pc fan replaced or is that not the issue?

Sounds like a hardware issue, but like Crono said, if it's under warranty then you might be in luck. If not, be prepared to shell out some cash.

Well, he did say he got it 2 months ago and, unless you live in like...China or something, the vast majority of computer products out there come with atleast 1 year warranty.

Thanks guys! I'll probably take it in over the weekend and hopefully they can find what's wrong with it.
