Language options

If you haven't noticed but people talk in different languages.

But there should be an option where their language can be translated to English and English translated to their language. So the whole game is a lot easier.

For ex.
Kyle: hi!
alberto: Como estas!
which would now look like for alberto
Kyle: Hola!
Alberto: Como estas!
It would look like english for kyle though. :D
We need this so i can understand what those Frenchie gossipers are talking about in that one area near ex-air asia.

I thought that was the only area like that until I saw:

Everyone under the bridge at around 8 PM EST is speaking Spanish, every night

Sure, it would be helpful. But the only thing Ive seen on the entire Internet that has automatic translations like this is Google+ lol.

I don't think most players use enough correct spelling for a translator to actually understand what they're trying to say. It would certainly be useful though.

I don't think this is possible with Graal current infanstructure

It will just be too big, and the servers are already crappy to begin with

It's certainly feasible. Graal can make API requests to Google. They'd probably have to buy extra API requests though.

If Graal can't handle 'randomlook' without a time limiter then i dont think its possible for real time translation

also this, google translations already suck as they are so add the spelling of little kids to that and well it still wouldn't be readable

if you really want to understand french just learn it

It's been said before, but this proves that lag and a singular server is the reason we can't have nice things.

As mentioned, this wouldn't really work in a live text environment where there is a greater amount of spelling and grammatical errors. Machine translations are also bad beyond single words, so I'm not sure that you would be able to have an actual conversation through this.

However, Classic needs to do something that enables non-English speakers to easily find, communicate and play with each other. If I logged into a game where I had to locate an obscure area under a bridge, to simply talk with people of my own language, I don't think I would play for very long. We aren't getting multiple servers (which would be ideal for this) so other avenues need to be explored. I've tried but cannot think of a solution.

Notice how no Spanish person knows there is such a thing as capital letters... :0 like seriously... Very, very few Spanish people who talk to me on Graal never use capital letters whereas other people do.

Someone askes me where a specific shop is in like frech on graal, I use Google Translate and it comes out with something like "how do you make babies with tomato Sauce". So I have to find someone who speaks the language and english.

This would be helpful.

What about having the option of showing a players flag on top of their character. it will just be a little transparentish flag

Guilds might also have it (shown in the guild news page) indicating to other players that the certain guild is for instance, a French guild

Another idea can be a search friends list option. You can possibly add a friends list that shows all the players currently located around your area.

i imagine part of the reason is because you need to use accent marks, so youre already doing all that and cant be bothered to use caps at that point.
