My Review of Ol West
 

Gave ol west a shot since Era freezes evry 2 secs. Here is my review:

1. Ol west has the best jobs of all of the servers. The jobs are actually fun to do, from mining to fishing very original great job.

2. Guns- you have to love the pre-bar era like guns with a western twist. It requires and promotes skill if consistently used, another great job.

3. Melees- probably the only thing I disliked with a passion, that is holding this game back from being the best server. The melees although look cool are way to OP, nobody fights they just rush to melee because they are much stronger than the guns. Most ppl in bases didn't even bother fighting, they just rushed the flag which counter acts the great skill promoting balance of the guns.

4. Respawning- way too quick, there should be a larger penalty for dying and along with the OP melees this just conditions people to rush even more. The time it takes to get to the flag shouldn't be a few seconds even if you hold the base already.

5. Random npc's shooting you- pretty annoying seeing tht when they die, they don't dissapear. They get right back up. To promote pvp practice there should be exp and lvls when killing these npcs to encourage ppl to practice on much easier opponents.

Overall ol west has great potential and I like the direction staff is going. If a few things tht promote more skill based gun play were implemented like nerfing melees I would rlly enjoy the game. It is the ol west after all where guns made a name for themselves not melees. If you keep the guns the way they are, this server can be better then it's previous counterparts.

HW has done a great job so far, I look forward to playing this game when melees aren't so powerful.

I Do agree with the melees they are to op and arnt balanced with guns it feels:P

When you die in a base respawn should be like 45-60 seconds if not longer

The melees should be changed in my opinion aswell as they are too overpowered compared to guns.

I dont think anybody really likes the random attacking npcs. They are just an annoyance.

Now you can get a free horseshoe

What when you kill someone shouldnt they atleast stay dead for a while like walking dead zombies not them messed up world Z zombies 5 seconds you back up and ready to kill some more :/

Respawn time of 60 seconds would be too long, I like how ol west is trying to create their own identity apart from the other servers so I'm sure they can think of a unique way to lengthen the time to get to the flag in a base.
My friends are already visiting ol west we are mostly doing the jobs and staying underground waiting for the right time to take over the basing world ;)
