Question.

Okay, so I've run into this problem a couple times now. I will quote someone, say, Dusty for example. So, when quoting, I'll try and cut out the text that doesn't relate/matter with whatever point im trying to make. Now, I often have a problem with deleting too far, and will delete into the numbers of whomever im quoting. Shouldn't be a big deal, can just go and re-quote, right? No, it doesn't work that way(from what I can tell). It will just go back to the broken quote(not that it returning to what you were typing is a bad thing, it's a good thing). So, then I can't post as I was looking to use their quote, which I then can't.

Basically, is there a way to delete the entire message and start fresh? Sorry about that huge block of text up there, wanted to make sure the point got across.

The number you deleted is the post ID. It is used to redirect to the original post, as you said. There a couple ways to get the ID number, but none of them involve staying on the Reply page.

I'm going to assume you are using a PC and not a mobile application to view the forums, so you can try to undo (Ctrl Z) if you accidentally remove the numbers. Other than that all I can give you are selecting and highlighting tips.

When highlighting or selecting words or objects on Windows, you can click at beginning of what you would like to select, hold the ⇧Shift key, and then click at the end of the selection. Doing this you will select everything in-between the two clicks. Similarly, you can use the Ctrl key to select individual objects. This, however, does not work for text.

Thanks for the advice, but I should've specified I view it mobile most of the time. But thanks anyway!
