Need Your Techxpertise - USB Hard Drive

Okay so I'm in the market for a USB hard drive preferably between 250GB and no more than 1TB. Figured some of you would know what to look for, what to stay away from, and possibly a good place to purchase one from! Thanks mates :)

Stay away from WD, I've had experience with bad cable connections.

my seagate from 2008 is still runnin fine, too bad brand loyalty is kind of stupid when all that matters is the actual product and not who makes it. unless you're referrin to a very specific line of products, in which case it's completely fair to dismiss em.

I would recommend Toshiba Hard drives. Haven't had a problem with them and I have three

BTW I use them to transfer 50-100GB of virtual machines over frequently

Hopefully your cable won't break
Doesn't matter anyways you can get them for cheap on eBay (always get a 3.0!!)
