Do you just rename this to Minecraft.jar and place it in your .minecraft \ bin folder?

For those who do not know how to access their .minecraft folders:

Can someone post instructions for XP and Mac?

(Make sure to close Minecraft before doing this.)

For Windows Vista and Windows 7

Press the Windows key on your keyboard and the R key simultaneously to pull of the Run window. Then, in the box, type %AppData% and press OK. A bunch of folders for various applications will pop up. Click the one titled .minecraft. And of course, open Bins and replace the file titled minecraft.jar with Dusty's file (above). You will need to rename Dusty's file to minecraft.jar!

Yes. You may as well take your current minecraft.jar(assuming it's updated to 1.1) and rename it to minecraft1.1.jar or something and keep it. Then when you feel like swapping out versions just rename them back and forth.

The easiest way is to open Minecraft then go to texture packs, then choose "open texture pack folder".

windows key + r to open run window. type in:

%appdata%/.minecraft

Tada.

Higbey 01-14-2012 01:21 AM

Read the freaking thread you moron. It explains how, they just freaking explained it. If you can't handle downloading and renaming things then there is no hope for you.

To backdate minecraft, replace your minecraft.jar with the one Dusty posted. Simples.

I found some kind of great minecraft downgrader in case someone needs it to connect to a server. It's .exe sorry mac guys. I used it to connect to my server. I deleted it by accident thinking it was some report or something. It works though :) I don't remember the link but just google minecraft downgrader.
