My view on the PM
 

Ok to get started, this isn't my news.

Id just like to voice my concerns about the current pm system.

When iEra first started I was unaware of an Admins ability to check you chat log, these could be extremely dangerous to young, ignorant players.

Say if I was 10 and I wanted to send a PM (A Private Message) to my cousin who is 11 and also plays graal era. I say to them (unaware of the admin listening in on my conversation) "Yeah you coming up to <wherever I live> next week"
Cousin: Yeah <my Name here> I'm so coming up to <Wherever I live>
Me: We'll have so much fun!
Cousin: Btw I moved into my new house my mum told me to tell you where it is so you can tell your mum it's <His address here>
Me: Ok I'll tell here see ya <his name here>.



And face it, you don't know who you employ to work for era, a sick-minded admin could be listening in and taking note of whatever you say. What if this 10 year old reveals where his going on the weekend and his going alone.

I'm not saying not allowing admins to check the chat logs but, at least change the name so it reflects what it really is, it's not private.

Also put some warnings around era saying "Admins are listening to whatever you say in massages" this will scare some people out harassing other players.

So my changes:
&bull;Change the name from private message to something else.
&bull;Warnings around graal about the private message.

While era is thinking of new guns, bases, hats, bodies and heads, please take the time to think about the safety of our younger players. Thanks :D.

They hire responsible people not people that will do that kind of stuff

Just based on a application won't tell them if it's someone sick-minded.

I could easily pose as someone nice in iEra. There really should be more warnings to young people.

Has it happened before? No, because they pick the right people, and who is going to do that, really you should trust admins.

You know an admin could of already secretly abducted some kid and no one knows about it right? You shouldn't trust anybody on a game.

Ok, firstly there are 1000s of PMs a day so staff won't check it all IF they even looked at them at all.
Which brings me to my next point. They don't check chat logs unless they have a decent reason to (ie: accusations of hacking, etc)
But Az is right. Don't give our personal details just in case. Though you can sleep soundly tonight without worrying about snk breaking into your house and stealing your computer.

You're going to be the first one to be kidnapped if you trust some Pixelated Virtual person on a game.

You only trust people that you know your going to say to a random come to my house <address>

Yes, we can view your PM's, but not all of them.

We have better things to do than constantly monitor your messages.
We only view PM's when we need to watch someone who might be soliciting UDIDs from an unsuspecting player and so on.
I can say with certainty that if anyone was caught somehow abusing your messages for gain or personal benefit they'd be fired.

We know your planning to abduct tiny children.
