What happened? I doubt it's coming back though. Any ideas to make it better if it was still here?

Personally I don't think it was ever as nice looking or organized as graalians is. Also the fact that it got reset however many times really put a damper on everyone who had posted there actively

Agreed. Zforums before were organized and appealing. Also, there were things like raffles and competitions that made players get involved. But once things got reset, I'm pretty sure everybody could see that things didn't look better than before so half of the people actually signed up for the newly updated version. And with only like 25 active people on the forums things like competitions and raffles we're just too small. Things screwed up big times.

25 active people? I'd say less lol. Like 5...

Tashkin was the one funding it. Since he died who knows.

Nah no one really minds, no one complained either, the last reset was because a PWA I won't name gained access to zone-play db and messed around with it,

No. I minded a lot & complained a lot & I'm sure others also cared, hence why it was brought up. The reset was to upgrade the forums to V5, which reset all previous posts and accounts. There was a separate incident where someone was hacked and gained access to an admin account and deleted many posts (not all) but that was a separate incident and accounts remained the same, only some posts/threads were removed.

O I see, the old forums had a lot of active members, there was really no motivation to join the new forums, the staff application is now in Google Doc, the raffle was removed, lol even the hat reward changed

I'd still treat that as a reset, what I thought is the person deleted all of Zone-Play's content, then luckily they still have a backup which is about a month old, but hey you're the moderator

To be honest I'm kinda upset with the decision they made to update the forums, but I keep my disappointment close to my chest

I hated the upgrade too. The only good thing was the chat box. Tools were removed/changed for Moderators too and it was annoying.

Even from the begininning they were ehh.

I used them more than most of the staff, and that shouldn't ever happen. I literally make it my goal to post at least 7 interesting things on AlbF just so people actually use the forums and are entertained. Like a moderator is supposed to moderate. Not regulate. Pig and Cal did good on regulating, Pig made maybe 9 good entertaining threads. I'd go in depth between moderate and regulate, but I'd rather not.

Speaking of being entertaining- yea we had like 8 threads in the fun category thingy. And they were all from me. I even made a contest to see if people would be active if I had a prize for active people... nobody even got passed the first day.

I'm not saying the idea flopped. Last year it was well established. Sure we would fight a lot, but you know what? Chaos works. We aren't the military where everything has to be on topic. Like fr. Yall were boring.

Plus nobody besides me and like geno ever used the blog sections.

And raffles weren't really good... the prizes sucked.

And I never got my prize!

I didn't have a problem with ads honestly. If you check the gspeed website it's filled with ads. Thats how we keep it self sustainable, even when noobs don't wanna buy crap(js but we've never had a month without selling something. Ryan, Jake, and I are basically the next Trump.... but you know. not silly billy-pants have trillys-Sia's new song; cheap thrillys.(I could be a rapper ezpz)). Like it was smart.

And IDK, I do like having a zone only community. While it's chill to talk to other graalian noobs on here, i like our small family.

Like i'm much less active on these forums than zplay(mostly because these noobs couldnt restore my actual acc and it's kind of like a worn out sock at this point that you would wear... but it smells and isn't the same as the original condition) solely because of that.
