There are multiple areas like this, a few in destiny, one below pyrat bay...presumably areas under development what have never been completed.

Tbh it might be used in the future or now removed because something was said, who knows mysteries are all around classic.

I remember hitching into that area smh took me 1-2 hours and I was so close to the door..... Then got banned :(

The intention with the chest west of MoD Town by the Zorbi place is more explicitly that. When I added that, it certainly wasn't my intention that ratform would be able to take you to it. This level, however, I readded it to the map back in the day because it had been my favorite overworld level. The location was mostly dictated by my not wanting it at the same low elevation because then snow wouldn't make sense. Making people wonder about its purpose is a nice side effect, although I'd rather it took less than ten years for it to be reintegrated with a quest.

Ok then dude. Get rid of those random schizoid lumberjacks just south of Mod, if you please. Or at least change their banter - they're talking about some one yelling at them and stuff still (~2 years after the guy disappeared).

That looks nothing like the current map. That was one of the wipes.

Nah, basically they just reincorporated some older versions of northern Graal City, the borders of Swamp Town, and Destiny. I miss mainly the Golden Grove and the Northern Valley Pass, and I imagine they can be reintegrated in their own way. The Northern Valley Pass maybe not so much because people hate cliff tiling.
