Death, is the human ability to vacate one's vessel. When a living being dies, its body decomposes. As it decompose, the pituitary gland in the brain will form a spiritual connection with your soul, allowing the soul to vacate the body. During this process, you will be required to sign a contract to enter the spiritual universe.
Upon entering the spiritual universe, you will be examined. Spirit Guards will take control of your mind to see your thoughts, and what you're planning to do.
If you do not have iniquitous thoughts, you're free to enter the spiritual society.
If you do have iniquitous thoughts, the guards will send you to another realm. A realm beyond human comprehension, and there, you shall explain yourself. To no one, but yourself. You will have to interrogate yourself. Why did you have those thoughts?
