American consulate attack

Pretty sure Americans still haven't heard about this but couple of hours ago the American consulate in my country (Saudi Arabia) was attacked, basically the bomber tried to get in and when the security didn't let him in he bombed himself outside the consulate injuring only the security guards.

What do guys think? I'm sure they did it on purpose because it was the 4th of July, and I think it's a threat.
