Christmas Railroad Idea
 

I have a few ideas for Christmas :)

First would be a huge train on the railroad tracks similar to the Polar Express and then you can jump on board when it stops at certain locations for a few min. Inside is a new level where you can buy some stuff (i.e. hot chocolate) and sit on chairs, and there could be a small board at the top that says the next stop.

Second idea is a "quest". We could have a Santa NPC that usually rides the railroad tracks with the sled draisine (in his message when you talk to him in Snow Town railroad tracks) but he is looking for his reindeer. You would have to go around the map to return the reindeers back to him using the horse whistle (however once you reach the cave before Snow Town it will follow you since you need to equip lantern.

These would probably take a really long time to make but I think it would be cool maybe for future Christmases :)

So your saying you want to go on a train and drink coffee talking to people you don't even know? :e

Though they could make some amazing hidden quests in classic, idk what's stopping them

Nah, that's what burger refugee is for, except burgers instead and not on a train but in an overcrowded restaurant.

You could make three different train instances which were randomly accessed when a player entered. Every 10-15 minutes arriving at the central station... no need for any out of station animations... just a small level with some seating, maybe a few items on sale, and a simple animation of light passing through the windows as the country side goes by. Gotta buy a ticket to ride on it, and only so many folks allowed on at a time... Would be soooo cool.

Splendid idea, but it will take time, and the devs have less than a month to code something like this. perhaps we'll see something cool related to this in the years to come.
