Party Chat
 

When the new guild system comes out, if the member cap is raised to 50, that's gonna be a lot of people talking in the guild chat, makig it pretty spammy. I'm sure this will get annoying for people who are busy trying to grind points for their guild, so i thought of something that could be used to avoid that unwanted spam, and also allow for people in different guilds to chat with each other.

The idea would be to give players the ability to create a temporary "party," which would function like a guild chat basically, without all the features of a normal guild. With this, players who join a party can all chat with each other without spamming their guild chat with messages that only about 10% of the members in their guild care to read, and also allow players in other guilds to join in the conversation.

I'm sure the new guild system will include some sort of filtering or on/off functionality for guild chat, just interested to see how they handle it

Oh yeah, that's basically the same idea. Definitely would be cool/useful to have some variation of it.

Good idea. Even if you have 15 people online tower guild chats get spammy... would appreciate ways to reduce the spam and clutter in the future of guilds as far as chat is concerned.
