Baddies drop a rare green warp crystal that brings you to that area, giving you access to a new cave. However, the cave doesn't have anything to offer really.

I'm guessing they'll add a new quest that goes along with the useless green crystal.

There actually already is a quest. You have to use the flippers at the pond inside the cave. The Great Fairy will appear and send you to the second part of the scarf quest. Of course this is oldish content which is probably why you never knew.

Well duh, of course they are.

1.) Always was there. Nothing is included there, to my knowledge.

2.) Also was always there. Used to be the 'exit' to the sled hill which was removed (sadly)

3.) No idea... where is that even located?

Back in the day you could enter the cave on the third picture.
It'd bring you to a level with a straight path upwards surrounded by water.
If I remember correctly that was all there was.

(Can confirm these entrances have not worked for years now though)

The mystery of graal, thats why it makes the game sometimes special.

Second picture use to be accessible, it took you to an empty house at the end of the cave or something like that (I was too young to remember but it was sick)

Second picture was (as already stated by 4-lom) the pathway to get back into snowtown after using the slide.
Don't question how the cave system somehow ended up being a small hut on the outside though

The third picture is located below payday bay if anyone was wondering.

there used to be a place where u can do some sleighing and when u go down u enter a cave to go back up and exit out of that tiny little building
