Anyone know where I can ask for tech help?

Been having an irregular problem with my touchscreen driver that's causing the Device Manager to go haywire and the touchscreen to not function. Maybe like a subreddit or a tech forum? It's been going on for a couple of days and a factory restore isn't an option for me atm.

I have the same problem. I tried reseting to factory settings and that didn't work, so yeah you're probably ****ed like I am.

Tried asking for help on this forum http://www.lovemysurface.net/ No one responded ._.

Is yours also showing as Port Reset Failed, and Device Descriptor Reset Failed?

You could try rolling back the driver.
Going back to an older version?
Check for updates?

Only thing I haven't tried is uninstalling the device, but I can't because my device manager is being stubborn.

The touchscreen driver should be in human interface devices.
You don't have to scroll down that far, silly.
The image on the right would be your device manager interface - the left is mine.

It's a failed driver. It's not gonna show up if it doesn't know what type of device it is. The one you see me trying to uninstall is the touchscreen.

I'm totally down for the idea considering how much useless **** is on my computer, but I have nowhere to put everything I want to save. May just go out and buy a flash drive I guess...

Ah so it's a recognition error.
Thats beyond me, maybe specifying your device could help us try to find solutions?
