Basing/Guns and Ol'West
 

Base layouts and designs need redone imo. Some of the layouts are bland and make no sense (especially mohawk it looks so bloody flat) each base should be unique. Some ways how you could spice up mohawk for example is cave paintings, make the entrance to it not just two rocks on top of each other, etc. There should be something unique to every base kinda like how healing water was for mohawk and tbh ik people complained about how "op" the healing water was but it was not op, have you guys seen battlefords beds ?!?! Thats op if anything.

All bases should have their own little tilesets and the LAT team should completely redue the layouts every year useing those lil tilesets. This would make the game more fun to basers having to adapt every year to a new layout.

Theres people who litterally only play ol'west because they like how basing is on here compared to how the other servers are. So why not grow ol'west by making its basing system the best. Destroying peaces i know the staff team have tried to do for the longest time but the only way this will ever happen is that our basing community grows so big that theres about 10-11 gangs who can actually compete with each other. This still wont 100% destroy peaces but it wont be every gang peaceing each other.

Guns should be top priority right now for ol'west. Instead of wasting the gfx admins you have on holidays and the lottery and thats about it. The more unique balanced guns we get the more unique basing will get. Plus imagine all those gralat packs people will be spending on those new gun shops around the map. Ik grenades wernt a thing in ol western times but its a game for christ sake instead of grenades have special dynamite types like era does with grenades.

I dont understand why the staff team operates solely only for holidays when it can be making the community happy and growing just by doing things like this. I know graal is a business but hows a business suppose to make the most money it can without even looking at what their users like most about their product/service. Hats accessories and body's are great and all and im not saying to just give the middle finger to holidays. But just imagine if ol west had 100 unique guns all balanced by their tiers with prices like 60k gralats and more just to buy one. The game would be making more money by all the gralat pack purchases for guns by new and old players, then for hats that cost 5k gralats at most. This would make the community happy and growing while making unixmad the most bread it can. Its a win-win situation on both parts.

I'm sure all staff teams would love to make more fun content and cater to everyone's opinion and what they want, but the reality is the majority of staff are voluntary workers and we have deadlines to meet for holidays and such to meet whilst doing things irl. As for new gun shops making money and such, sure. But nothing makes bank like holiday updates, you dig?

Then why not try harder on growing the staff teams gfx admins and lat team ik you guys have statues at start for information but the team could do so much more then that. Like training some of the deputys you guys have for graphics and leveling. To be honest the best way is if you guys get the community more involved on things. It's great when the devs ask for ideas every year and a half it seems but more could be done that doesnt take that much time. I would say to advertise graalians like you guys did with discord before but theres no point if our community cant even express its ideas on here since they cant even make accounts for 11/12 months a year. If ol west made its own forum like zone and era has done and advertises it around the map like era this would get the community more involved and interested in becoming gfx artist, lat or even learning how to code.

It's a strange system. It's easy to find voluntary workers, it's hard to find qualified voluntary workers with the complete background check and work ethic required

A forum could still help with the system though.

As much as we would LOVE to have a lot more graphics and let staff the problem is its hard to find players really good quality that are willing to donate the amount of time voluntarily out of there personal lives to fulfill these dev roles which can be very demanding at times. and sure it would be cool to like teach the deputies and random players some gfx skills but gfx is still art bottom line some players will have more aptitude towards it then others and we cant have a whole bunch of soso graphics just to fill up content I'm pretty sure you as players wouldn't appreciate that :(. as far as your ideas though I like them and hopefully in the future once we tackle our higher priority projects it would be fun to take this feedback and actually try and put some of it to use :)

I agree the general bases need to be re-done. The designs are lacking and I think every base should be custom made with graphics and images. Hopefully they will use my idea with Mohawk and totally remove it I think the pyramid should replace it since there is already custom tiles and images for that which would make it a quite cool base!

The graphics team doesn't have a lot of members and they usually work on the holidays however I think they should cut down on the holidays a bit and focus on content like this. But what that team does for the server is incredible.

However for the Lat Team there is actullay no excuses, they barely have any work to do and I think they would be happy to remodel the bases since they always want to do more levels they just don't get any assignements from their superior.
