Do Gralats despawn?

Hey guys, I got a noob question..

My friend and I have been farming gralats at my in game house. I've locked them up to everyone so that they stack. My question is do they despawn after a certain period of time?

In your house, they do not despawn.
Out in the world map, they do.

And as an extra layer of protection against accidentally unlocking them, lock your furniture options while farming

I’ve “accidentally” harvested before and it really boils my beets

Nothing like getting your jimmies rustled by taking a red gralat at 99 1 gralat early before gold isn't it?
