I've been curious about how this all works but just some questions/disputes but.
1.)What's it even take to become a dev
2.)who even decides what gets added or removed from graal? I highly doubt Unixmad ordered removal of the TGRS. It had to be ordered by a lowerstaff.

3.)Also do devs choose what they work on or what?? 4.)Does Unixmad force them to work on other things. because you'd think we'd have a dev. working on fixing the map or something right?
are they just short on developers?

don't post if all you can say is "lazy devs" or "lazy staff" because they're on the lookout for devs so apply yourself then if you think they're "lazy". Or even though it is rude, Go away.

The railroads are falling apart. The gnomes collected their pay and took off. It seemed to be good for a long while, but their magic seems to have faded; NPCs and whole sections of the overworld appear in the caves from time to time.

The only question I have is does the new developers read future classic improvements threads? We used to give useful feedback to Dusry and few other developers before they retire/go inactive

It's usually who you know, or who knows you, etc.

Alot of people offer to be devs and help out but its not so simple tbh. You can't just "become" a dev. Example, thallen the known hacker has offered to help out with coding the NGS. Unfortunately however, his reputation as a GST hacker precedes him and he's considered "At high risk" to mess around with graals base scripts if given developer powers.

If Thallen (Played graal since 1950) isn't trusted to become a developer, it's safe to assume that a lot of other people also won't be accepted. Someone with dev powers could do a lot of harm to the game, so they have to be really careful with who they put in. That's probably why there's rarely, if ever any new devs we hear about.

The players are allowed to be critical of the developers' time spent working, or what they're working on. Graal is volunteer work for the majority of developers, so if they have the time to develop for Graal, then they shouldn't be lazy. Rather than telling those who call the devs lazy to apply, tell them to get lost.
I'm not calling any of the iClassic staff lazy, i'm just responding to what you said.

As far as what gets developed, I don't think the Bread Man is invested in it, unless if he stops making dough.

They are not looking for new devs idk why. Some reputable top coder from Graal PC left a thread here long ago asking for a position in Classic Devs, they were like nope...
