About the GST

About the GST. Are admins really thinking only Americans? If the GST starts 18.00 EST in France it starts 24.00! And in my country it starts 1am. Cuz really im not staying up for 1am just for GST or putting an alarm clock waking me up at midnight. It would be WAY better if the GST would start 12.00 EST. Then it would start 18.00 in France and in my country 19.00.

Its not all about Americans. Also if the time would be changed GST comes more challenging between guilds cuz theres more guilds in it. Also there wouldnt (maybe) be the same guilds always at finals.

Really 18.00 est pisses me off and many other Europeans. And NO NO NO NO IM NOT THE ONLY ONE FROM GRAAL WHO WANTS THIS TO BE CHANGED.

Why don't you just use a time converter?
Tell others that you can only make certain times.

I wouldn't mind if they changed it to (-5 GMT) for my own benefits as well. :]

I share your view as I live in Britain and i'm sure many others feel the same. However is this the way to go about changing it?! Your thread only had to detail your view, little need for stronger language. It's hard for any server to cope for all of the different timezones, in fact it is impossible. Changing the event time for one zone has a knock on effect on others. If you look at it in the big picture most of iClassic players are american,(including staff members), so it is an obvious choice to suit the major sparring tournament for them.

The game should cope with adapting their events to appeal to all nationalities, but holding two separate competitions suddenly creates a number of complications. The most popular solution for this issue is for the Facebook Server to hold the event at a different time than the iPhone Server. Nevertheless this creates the problem of having PC Sparrers allowed for one timezone and not for the other, then the argument emerges of how it isn't fair.

Hopefully a bright spark somewhere in the community will think of an idea to resolve this confusing situation, but you have to look at the problem from other user's perspectives and put your self in their shoes. Enough said.

Listen. When an event is hosted on Graal, there's no doubts it won't be a fair time for everyone. And once the message is out that the event is hosted at a certain time, it most likely won't be changed because people have already made plans for themselves and their teams. I had to stay up 'till 11:00 PM EST for the Christmas play at MMT, and I didn't whine and complain about the times. If you don't like the time then don't do it. I don't understand why you have to tell everyone on the forums that you don't like the time. Also, if they changed the time now, it would'nt be fair for some other parts of the world that play. Thread dismissed.

Oh, now I understand the big picture, mainly for staff events... Yeah they should take others into consideration for big events..

Although Every GST i've been to its started atleast an hr late... Maybe they should do GST at different times so all get a chance eventually idk I just feel they leave out many countrys like when the play/acting thing was on it was done for two days but neither of them I and some others could get to due to the time difference, I understand that many staff are from USA and many of the gamers are to but why not make like 2/3hrs earlier from this convertor it doesn't look like it would affect it that much but would also give others chance to be in it

Why don't admins just make a GST for every time zone?Much more easy

How is that more easy? One GST seems like it'd be hard enough to host, not only that but how will the victor be determined?

What about AST? :(

Considering there's about 8 people that play up here.

Who cares about the GST? To me it's just a glorified guild spar. But sparring is a key factor of Graal. I'd rather have sparrers winning hats than hat chasers.

RyFly 12-05-2012 01:37 AM

Maybe they should rotate times every gst so if you can't play in this one maybe you could play in the next one.
