ANZAC DAY
 

Anzac day is in a few days and I think it should be celebrated on era.

For those of you who don't know what anzac day is you can read about it;

Era could sell poppy flowers as hats or a melee.

All i'm asking is for a little celebration with a hat or so.

Than we should celebrate holidays all around the world :o

Era usually celebrate American holidays. Well I could help if era will.

im thinking of making a minutes silence in memory of the heroes. (disabling the ability to talk for only 60 seconds), as is the usual rememberance method. then giving out a poppy to all who were on.

I don't mean to be racist and such but I think we should save this for Remembrance Day (11 of November) Reason being is that this holiday (Remembrance Day) honours all who died in war, not just the Australian and New Zealand troops which ANZAC day will commemorate.

Truth be told, ANZAC encorporated more than just Australian and New Zealand soldiers.

That said, I've always opposed recogonising national events in favour of events that are easily recognised as worldwide-events and have been commercialised to hell. If you start doing national events, everyone will demand their particular event and everything goes to ****.

yeah 11 November remembers all troops and it would be nice to do something n that day since classic wont because they forget about Easter and so they have no chance with November 11

I completely agree. I just don't like the national events as much as the Worldwide events, as I agree completely with Twinny also. iEra could do with more events though. It's a nice change for players. Perhaps have those hats the diggers wore in the wars for sale/distribution.

I completely agree, ANZAC day should really be celebrated on Era. It Honours the troops that fought in war, so we could have the peace we have today :D

my thinking on the issue is, the poppy's are used in both Anzac day and Remembrance day. We can just re use most of the graphics and events for both.

Players will be annoyed at the fact that their holiday items are being resold.

well give them out for free lol, or make it like they are irl. a $1 purchase
