Tricking (sport)

Hey guys,

does anyone of you do tricking?

I thought about starting it and wanted to hear some advantages or disadvantages of some trickers. Also what ways would be the best to start with? Like exercises for the necessary stretching (for the beginning just for the basic tricks), good ways to learn the basic tricks and so on.

In case you guys do not know what tricking is and want to see a video of it this should help you

Would be cool if an actual tricker could post some good tutorials which really help and not one of those crappy tutorials (always saw different tutorials saying what you should not do while an other tutorial said again that you should do so).

Jea that's what I figured out aswell. Well probably tricks for beginners won´t be that hard. What I figured out was that all trick's are based on 6 basic tricks (source). But I don't think that it's just for tough guys after watching some vid's, tutorials and so on.

It can be combined with different things like fighting (I gues the movies "Never back down I+II" are the best examples), freestyling (probably like the vid and than freerunning) and dancing (I think the moves of "Step up I-IV" are also based on that). I'm not sure about that since I just did some resources since yesterday evening.
That's also why I'd love to write with someone having actual knowledge of it.

Jea would bring some changes in my life :) always loved that style. Well I´m still looking for some tutorials but they kinda contradict each other :/

I don't know anything about tricking, but if tutorials contradict each other, my best guess is that tricking is about finding what strategy works best for you. It's probably something you can only find out by experience, so go for it dood

Wish I had the body coordination to do this lololol

I found out that tutorials are made showing the way that person likes. What I do when I look for tutorials, I try one and if it doesn't work for me then I try the next one and the next and see what works best of me. :)

haha jea. Well I'm starting with the stretching at first and just too simple stuff. Like each step I'm practising pretty long.
