leaving for a month/ void project situation
 

I'm leaving Tuesday 24 for New Zealand on a expedition/project, where i will be without wifi or internet or a pc for a month.

i got the project together, i did everything right, the only thing i needed someone else to do, and they screw me over and lie to me and dont keep any of their promises, the asshole didnt even say he was sorry or tell me he couldnt do it, i wasted almost a month waiting on him and asking him for it, i gave plenty of instruction and i didnt want to give someone else the project too as a back up gfx, because then they would feel bad when the image they put so much work into isnt used, or they wouldnt put any work into it knowing it wouldnt be used unless the first guy screws up.

basically, i performed everything i needed to do, i have the entire project set up, and all the work for this stage complete except for one graphic. that main graphic i had sketch do, and now Jester Jacks is working on it but i dont think she will finish it in time.

well he isnt the best, nobody is the best at making gfx, but he volunteered and promised he would do it.

What do you need made exactly? Maybe someone will be willing to whip you up something if they have time.

its too late, im leaving tommorrow morning, i had a second person working on it but they dont seem to be finished, the thing is bigger than items, its not something someone could put quality work into in this short amount of time..

You did everything right? Are you serious? If you did everything right, you would have the graphic or whatever you need. Your dumbass friend taking advantage of you is your own fault. When you want something, you're supposed to go out and do whatever you can to get it. Not requesting progress reports with tangible images is your own fault. Not finding another artist after the first few days is your own ****ing fault. When you need something, you make it ****ing happen or you miss out. Tough luck.

What are you, a "project lead"? If so, then this is 100% your fault.

You lnow who gets blamed when an American football team loses a game? The quarterback. You know who gets fired when a sales team isn't performing in the profit margins corporate wants? The sales manager. You know who eats it when an employee at McDonalds leaves the freezer door open and thousands of dollars worth of food products spoil? The ****ing manager who was on shift that night.

What do these people all have in common? They manage people. Their job is to manage people. If someone under them doesn't do something right, or the team fails outright, it is their fault.

And you have the nerve to insult other people's projects in every thread on this forum, and then go and blame some random-ass artist for "screwing you over". You are the one who underperformed. Sorry, but you are one worthless bag of ****. I wouldn't let you manage anything from a sock drawer to a pencil case after how you behaved here.

there was nothing i could do without being a asshole to someone, he had no record of not finishing projects, and as im not staff i dont have the ability to get staff gfx to work on stuff for the project, i did most of the graphics myself, and i asked over and over, he would not respond and there was nothing i could do because if i replaced him and he was still working on it then i would be the bad guy, now ive got one last guy working on it, if he doesnt get it done im screwed, also, pretty sure its not the manager that pays for a employee being a asshole and flat out not doing a thing and lying about it, he said he was working on it, i gave him plenty of time, i kept asking, and i tried being nice by not going behind his back and having a back up, especially when the back up would be pissed when their version wasnt used,

i had everything done, all sent in to someone with the rights on the server to put it together, all set up, all i needed is that graphic, im not a manager, i dont have any rights on the server, now i know to stop caring about feelings and instead just care about getting the results, but that makes it so im the bad guy and no one will help me again, or the quality will suck,
how can you blame me when this is my first project, ive got no rights, im simply a player, and the one thing someone says they will help me with they screw me over by lying to me multiple times and playing me the whole time.
i was doing the nice thing because at the time he was a friend and i cared about his feelings and didnt want him to never help me again, and he wouldnt respond to me, so i didnt know if he wasnt getting it or if he was ignoring me.

there was nothing i could have done that wouldnt have violated the above statements.

well you sacrificed your project so you would or wouldn't have hurt some guy's feelings.

why did your entire project hinge on one graphic that you couldn't make?

Very hypocritical since you post such empowering messages about how players should take a stand. Also, considering you managed the project you take the blame for all problems you encounter whether their your fault or not. Oh well.

main graphic, its the main point and it will be reused, youll see, its not so much a final update as many gradual updates in progression

So it's kind of like the gfx for the master sword of Zelda?
