Random Creepy Game Music
I wasn't sure where to put this one, since it was gaming related but didn't actually relate to PLAYING the games...
Anyway, this is a thread to post random creepy game music. If you would prefer to not get creeped out by random creepy game music, please hit the back button. If you're here for some interesting music or are masochistic and enjoy destroying your ability to sleep at night, this is the thread for you! If you find any random creepy game music you found yourself enjoying/crapping yourself to, POST IT HERE! According to the description of this video, this is the song used in the beta version of Lavender Town from Pokemon Red and Green. A somewhat cliche choice, but hey, it's what gave me the idea to post this thread. |

Nobody else has anything they've found?

You really want me to post creepy sounds?

I listened to the the lavender theme, not a thing happened. Whole time, nothing. I just laughed pretty much during it.
On topic here's one that's a bit creepy. This is what Endermen should really sound like: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=j_T0oZabKH4 |

Now you can have 2 types of seizures! (Yes, I'm aware that the Lavander Town story is fake) |

The problem with trying to narrow down "creepy" things is that you have to take them out of context. When developers create anything creepy they do a lot of work to create an entire atmosphere and pulling say... music away from everything else in a game that were created to be in harmony(graphics, ambiance, design) can ruin everything that actually made the song creepy in the first place. Not to mention many horror games rely more on ambiance/well-placed silence to creep a player out rather than music.
That's not to say a song can't be creepy on it's own, just sayin' that unless you played the games and experienced it in its entirely most of the feeling will probably be lost on you. |
made one of these threads :o

Agreed with Dusty's post, taking the music out of context has a tendency to ruin the horrorific factor that usually comes with the music. But here's one of my favorite creepy songs.
