Soul Eater. This is a show I came to love after the first three episodes. It has main characters that can relate to almost anybody, with each character having certain strengths and weaknesses, including personal flaws. The story line bases around a particularly unique situation in the world. I'm sure if you watch anime you are pretty familiar with this type of thing. In the show, people work with their partners to fight "kishin", evil spirits. The DWMA (academy where students learn to fight) houses almost all of the main characters, who work together to fight witches, kishin, and other evil forces. The show includes a team of heroes, a team of villains, and a climax in every episode. One thing it lacks is a strong sense in romance, since there is never a kiss in the entire show. Besides this, the show really got me interested to see what happens next, probably because I have such a huge imagination.
