2)Despite what Fact #1 may lead you to believe, the games are extremely difficult.

ZUN, Junya Ota produces a series of games called 'Touhou Project'. He does all the coding, art, music, and design work by himself. You may be wondering how one man can single handily pull all of this off without a hitch. The answer to that is simple: The official character art sucks.

There have been 13 official games to the series, 1-5 were for the PC-98 in Japan, so most people only consider 6-13 as existing games.

Touhou has practically defined the Danmaku genre. It's basically like the Capcom game, 1942... But it's Hell. The bullets that are fired towards you are in intricate patterns that fill up the screen. They have the weirdest hitboxes, so you have to be very careful when racking up a graze score.

The bosses have a life meter, and you die the instant you are hit. Sound fun? Try it.
