If you really want to warp to a more convenient location for travel, why not suggest an NPC to do so? Send in-game feedback for example, staff may take it into consideration.

However, as Rufus pointed out, there are other means of travel. You have railroads to get you to a faster location, but you complain that you can't walk fast enough? I feel like there really is no need for a central warp spot just to make travel easier. I actually believe it takes away part of the adventure aspect of the game itself.
