Look, here's a little something for you kids to chew on.
I approve of online dating.
"That's just 'cause you can only get a girlfriend online Regret! LOLOLOL UMAD BRO?!"
No, I approve of online dating because it's convenient, and it fits our generation.
With live in a world of text messages, smart phones, and laptops that could probably fit in your back pocket.
Not only that, but humans are made to adapt. When placed in an environment, we pick up methods that best suit our daily actions.
The chances of you finding someone special in your high school (or other activities or w/e) are slim. Most people make do with what they have and pick the best from available options, but it isn't exactly what you want.
Online, there are hundreds of thousands of people to meet. You're bound to find someone you like at some point.
Sure, there are complications, but if you can settle for emotional stimulation over physical stimulation, online dating is the way to go.
Now, I do realize the dangers in online dating, but as time progresses, that will improve. No doubt about it.
I just hate people who rip on it because they think it's a way for desperate people to get girls. Face it, if someone is desperate, it's unlikely they could get a girl in real life OR online.
