Design wise having different "themes" might be very distracting. As long as it is not like the profiles with repeated animating gifs. Profiles are meant to house information of the player and not meant to be a personal space. I'd understand if there was a section for blogging or something within the profiles or a space to look at pictures you've saved from the game.

If there is a small shop to change the statistics images (hearts and so on) where really noone can see it except you, why not make such a profile thing? I think itīs a nice idea. Sure you donīt watch a status for hours saying "wow that looks awesome" but would still look nice.
