And remember folks, the sound quality is only as good as the weakest link! You can have the most expensive reciever + sound system/headphones, but if the music is coming from your low-end soundcard/motherboard chipset then the quality will still suck.

Bit off topic but my dad has a home theatre system and the two side speakers are Bose, mostly for the mid and high range sound. I still poke fun at them. Nowadays they're stacked on top of the two front tower speakers ( Cerwin Vega in terms of bang for buck) for some extra sound.
