Lets face it, the developers are quite obviously not mathematicians. I'm not entirely sure if there's a rhyme or reason as to why some guns are superior and some aren't but i'm willing to guess its because the developers aren't mathematically inclined enough to balance all the weapons to work 'together'.

Oh! and on side note, M4 is fine just the way it is!
