I'm pretty sure there will be talented people out there who would work with you to make this happen. You said your past may cause issues, but it's the PAST, not the present. You've shown you've reformed, and this is such a good idea, that it would be a shame if some of the ideas are adopted. I really liked the races and weapon ideas.
