16GB of ram is overkill. You're better off focusing on more important aspects like a proper PSU(premade computers put in a bare minimum, so upgrade anything and you'll run into problems) or something.

I agree with this. 16 GB is way more than what you need. Unless you're running a server or something 8 GB should be more than enough, I've never seen a game use more than 2 GB.
