Because in foreign countries you hear more going on in america than you do (censoreship and all that crap). Friends from my mum who are living in america told us that they never heard of some stuff in the news as other countries did after we have been asking them about that. Probably it's the same as with germany and other countries. I mostly just hear whats going on in america rather than the other countries
