I can guarantee you that regardless of what any Mac user says, FL Studio is hands down the BEST DAW for beginners. Once you use in it conjunction with some plugins it is quite easy to make elaborate tracks. Most people shoot it down and say Reason or Traktor are better because they know that FL Studio is insanely popular... And you know how everyone wants to be so different nowadays... Get FL 10 Trial and download Reaktor from Native Instruments. Its one of the best plugins for great sounds.
