I remember this being mentioned somewhere before... But nonetheless, I think it would make a fun event.
The only flaw would be evaders/runners. And also, guild members could team to eliminate other competition and provide an unfair edge, but I suppose that's not a big thing since there can only be ONE winner.

If the game in its final stages is taking too long, then staff can warp the players to a smaller sudden-death arena.
