Planned obsolescence:
When companies design their product to have flaws that result in needs for upgrading or buying a new one, often designed to break after the warranty has ended while not breaking so soon as to discourage the consumer from buying another.
Implied obsolescence:
When companies release a product boasting that it's the newest and greatest thing, often making older models appear bad, when few improvements have actually been made.

Anyway, I won't buy the iPod 5, since it doesn't have any GREAT features.
