He should have just said he (and the united states) didn't agree with the video or the protesters reactions. Nothing else.
Also, what are the odds this happens ON 911. This video has been out FOR MONTHS. This is probably a planned attack by some sort of group, it can't be a coincidence.

Just so u can understand if you listened to his response, he basiclly said what you metioned above. He also says very clearly that at the moment, "we do not consider Lybia as an ally, nor do we consider them an enemy." He also has to tend to this issue very closely and carefully because this is an very sensitive issue. If you dont realize like higbey said, the last thing America needs is a stupid igrorant person making a movie in which if the goverment doesnt act properly will undo all the work done in the middle east since bush sent troops overseas.
Not only that they have just sent two warships, drones, and marines to help investigate whether or not it was linked to a terroist group or not. Its sad that the man who helped Lybia overthrow Gaddafi dies in that same country.
I agree that the violence is a huge overaction and its unfair that all of the united states is being critized rather than the maker of the film alone. But we cannot miss the fact that whenever there is a protest, there will be violence. Due to the fact that there will be a small amount of trouble makers who will use any oppurtounity to spark a riot and violence. We have to note that there have been many peacful protest that have been staged as well against not only the film but the violence as a result of it.
