By using these medicines to save lives that would be normally lost to these illnesses it's interfereing with natural selection selecting those whom have greater immunity to said illnesses, while the medicine puts a pressure on the bacteria/ virus so the ones able to be immune to the medicine thrive, causing these super bacteria that medicine cant stop, it's a basically a arms race between illnesses and medicines.
