There comes my idea;(not mine, just what I'm thinking)

-Remove gang tags in FFA and make everyone have the SAME outfit(Head,Body,Colors)...
-Remove the chat

These two things prevent 100% teaming up because: you cannot identify your friends (recognize them) and you cannot say "hey its #InsertPlayerNameHere"
Easy;)

Also @jwd if you do these fixes on both single-showdown and PvP arena, then please add a Squad PvP Arena aswell as a Squad Showdown (Max 30 people, 3 people per squad). So that people can choose PvP arena with or whitout teams
(squads) and a shodown with or whitout teams. So everyone is happy, everyone has the choice and at the end there is more choice/content.
