The root of the problem is that i let my Asst give me a recommendation (I should be able to trust the words of my partner.) but when the the recommendation was chosen to be hired, it came about that he did not apply the same way as everyone else, which is considered favoritism and that i cannot allow. Extremely unfair for everyone else. This is nobody's fault except for a member(s) of the team. We sincerely apologize for the confusion. The candidate also replied with "How did i get hired if i didn't even apply?".The problem is not that serious, and will be dealt with if needed.
