"interns" that are supposedly working on some big project getting paid?

The whole concept of an Internship is to gain work experience often at little to no charge to the business they're interning at. I would bet that they weren't at all considering the following:

Due to strict labour laws, European internships are mostly unpaid, although they are still popular among non-Europeans in order to gain international exposure on one's résumé and for foreign language improvement.

Like (assuming unpaid) Interns and myself we both agreed to work on their terms (without pay) so I don't expect to be paid for my work. It would be nice though.
I can confirm that their work exists and has more to it than the content they displayed in the video. They have a lot of bugs left to fix though.
I haven't actually met or talked to any of them though.
