GS1 is a lot different than GS2. It's better that you start off with having some background knowledge of how to program in other languages. Knowing the basics of programming will definitely help you.

But if you'd like to just jump into GraalScript (Which I don't recommend) you should definitely check out FP4's scripting guide: http://public.zodiacdev.com/index.php?title=Fowlplay4. Though, you will need NPC-Server access on a Graal Server.
