This is from what I've heard from both current and previous staff members:
They must go by a step-by-step process in order to punish a bannable offense. Sending them to warming room, reset chat, blah blah blah and then after a while they can issue a ban. Unlike before in the past, where staff could go straight to a ban without any prior warning, such a process must be completed before giving out any ban otherwise they might get fired for abuse.
Now, for glitching onto a cliff or in a black area I believe isn't considered bannable. I think they're just supposed to drag them off or unstick them until they finally get bored and go away. Problem is, an idiot has more mental endurance than any other being on the planet. Why is that? Because in order to have mental endurance one must have a brain. An idiot, however, lacks one. So they don't know better and will keep coming back because they do not learn from their mistakes because they are usually incapable or not wanting to learn from them.
As for being banned for glitching, glitching is considered bug abuse. Which has been a bannable offense for ages. There shouldn't be any surprise for being banned for it if it isn't anything new. If you're reporting a bug, it wouldn't require that much repeated use and to be flaunting it around. That's why whenever I find a bug or something in need of being fixed, I usually just show it to one of them or just feedback it in detail. Otherwise, you really shouldn't be taking advantage of a bug. Even if you've already reported it.
