I never said that there was no advantage to being able to strafe, I just said its pretty unnoticeable and nobody uses it. I also have no idea what that video is proving, you're just running around some noob.

Unless you have proof that no one uses it I wouldn't say that. I have seen people use it and it is an annoying advantage to have. The video is just showing that it look likes. It's not about the spar itself

I also don't get what you mean by 'freezing your actions'. Being able to strafe like that doesn't render you invulnerable, someone can still hit you. As well, you can't swing while moving, just like in any other direction.

By "freezing my action" I was referring to holding the left and right key together to keep me in place. The strafing thing is a nice maneuver technique that can be used right before hitting someone and also a great way to fool to your opponent that you are coming his way.
