The way I see it:
Before towers were way harder to take but way easier to hold which I liked. So by changing the spawns and flag hit points they made towers extremely easy to take but super hard to defend which in my opinion, sucks. Quanity was favored over quality. For example let's say EP, Xenthic, and Michael were in a guild together that had swamp. The old swamp, as long as they're all fully alert, going down, defending good they could hold it fine. The new swamp they'll lose in a couple mins because no matter what 3, even 4 people at swamp they'll never last anymore.
Why I think it changed? Because guilds like NAL, Cxe, Characters Japan all hogged forts and terrible guilds kept complaining instead of actually putting in effort and time to take there forts. I remember when Cxe would hold sardon for weeks in a row without losing when the flag was at 250. Then I started to go for sardon with my guild and with some effort we were actually able to get it a decent amount of times. At one point we were taking it from them daily. Lastly to conclude this: This change was completely unessecary, the point was to let crappier guilds get forts easier and stop tower hogging I assume. The outcome: Nal still dominates and holds snow all the time, SoN at castle, Cxe at dw until they got 10k, and usually an embarassing hat guild at sardon. The same guilds will continue to dominate no matter what, towers should just be changed back.

paragraph1: me + xenthic + EP @ Swamp? plz.
anyway at first i was gonna disagree saying, now its just more challenging to defend but still possible with good players. but actually its almost like towers swapped difficulty level.
castle, DW, swamp used to be super easy to defend with few people. ~> now its almost impossible with few people.
mod used to be most difficult to defend with few people ~> now easy defend
paragraph2: "terrible guilds complaining?" *cough* voyage *COUGH COUGH* bin.
