I enjoy Call of Duty, but I can still see the problem with it, a problem that Activision is pretty damn vocal about: it's all about the money. The CEO of Activision pretty much said that he wanted to turn it into a yearly franchise because people will buy it. They also do it with all their other titles and eventually killed them.
Do I enjoy CoD? Yes. But you know what, I'd probably enjoy it for another year or two if they didn't release another version with updates that could have been done via patches. See, the problem is is that they will release a new version. Everyone goes "OGMOMFGOMFGOMFG" and go buy it, and the people who are aware of what's going on end up either being left behind(all your friends have MW3 now, enjoy Black Ops by your lonesome) or getting it. It's a ****ing harsh circle that is now happening on a yearly schedule.

Yeah, that's extremely annoying in my opinion. Everyones going like "Omg I'm going to prestige and become number 1!" then the next thing you know a new Call of Duty comes out and they toss the old one aside. I wish it wasn't like that because they're going to run out of ideas eventually if they keep doing this. They also have Treyarch working on Call of Duty games so there's an estimated 2-3 Call of Duty games a year.
