Don't you realize that the guild picture "update" isn't designed to entertain you? It's designed to, and I'm sure you know this, keep people from uploading vulgar pictures to their guild. While its a bit annoying, I think the pros outway the cons as there were definitely issues with vulgarity, etc. in guild pictures and those issues have ceased. On the bright side, the classic staff usually approve guild pictures in around ten seconds from my experience. Imagine if it took an hour, or even thirty minutes? Isn't the situation a whole lot better than it could be? And how has it ruined the idea of guild pictures? We're your guild pictures inappropriate before? If anything, this update has made people less inclined to fill their guild pictures with random images and designs. Now people actually come up with guild "logos" more often and it's kind of cool.

You have to see the bigger picture. Hats (and advertising them in the news) is how the game pays for itself. I sort of agree that they're a bit useless to me because I'll probably not buy one any time soon, but other people do like them.

There used to be a time on Classic where there truly were no updates, and they actually true to use "hats" as major updates. That time has past; there are definitely many more updates that have been coming out recently. Now that there's many more updates than just hats, we don't have to call the staff out ok trying to push them off as "big updates" because they aren't. Honesty, at this point, if the hats in the news really annoys people as much as it seems, then they're either just looking for something to complain about or jumping on the bandwagon because apparently dissing hats constantly is a "cool" thing.
