I didn't mean take all the ideas that people suggest and do them, I meant allowing people to actually MAKE the content, then actually accept the content that is considered high enough quality.

If people really want to make content, then they should just do what Rufus and co. did before they were staff. I'm sure that, provided they can produce something fit for the server, Rufus would be willing to work with them to integrate it.
And "asking" general players to make levels, graphics, ...scripts... Not only is that just plain not going to work, but people like you would make another thread, much like this one, accusing the staff team of trying to get players to do their work for them. It's honestly a lose / lose situation.

The easter event lasts a week, then it will be forgotten afterwords. It wasn't even that great anyways, it's just a giant luck based event where you grind the same things over and over for hours on end(shoveling baddy killing grass cutting etc) until you finally get your mount. Not fun at all. Certain eggs were a lot rarer than others so certain eggs where in high demand, so the trading hardly worked out.

It's not a luck based event; it's a community based event. It's all about working with others to figure out how to get certain eggs and then trading. (If you had done this, you would find out that eggs aren't really "rarer" than others; there's just different ways to earn different eggs that are more difficult.) There's plenty of people to trade with... If you can get at least 10 (not necessarily unique) eggs from each group, you can trade them among the community for others fairly easily.
There's no denying that, while it could be improved in some areas, it's still quite fun (in my opinion) and loads better than Easter in the past. This time everybody's guaranteed an opportunity to win. In the past it's truly been the first ten no-lifers to find x eggs get trophies, etc. It has improved, but you have no appreciation for the improvement that exists (and the staff that brought about that improvement). That's what really bothers me.
