Just gonna assume you don't follow world politics and haven't considered how big of a ****storm would ensue if the US didn't intervene.

This is pretty much the final say in arguments over US military interference. Ever since WW2, the USA signed off the UN treaty as "the police of the world". America is depended on by much of the world to control the most powerful military as well as keep other countries in balance. In addition, America struggles with issues within itself. This inevitably imperfect balance is only part of what drives politics insane, as people can never fully agree with others on the topic of financial and political focus. However, multiple well-loved US presidents,(including Abraham Lincoln) have explained the truth that still applies today: There will always need to be multiple political parties to keep the other in check, so that no political group of Americans has any power or authority above any other. This begins a topic I will not get further into...
Although, people always seem to assume that the few political figures he or she agrees with is a superhero, and can never be wrong about something. The truth is, usually everyone is right about something, and usually wrong about a few other things. Politics are not black and white, they are pretty complex. There are other people who claim to know this, and therefore explain that they are "Independent" and follow no political party. While wise, this person does not really help the cause at all, but simply usually understands the issues. They can not often resolve problems, and any answers often don't work. (Wow, am I off-topic...)
Specifically, North Korea is feared by some Americans, and mocked by others. From my point of view (from what I've been hearing), North Korea doesn't pose a huge threat at the moment. Problems between North and South Korea is nothing new. The weapons that the country posses have yet to be proven actually fatal. Many give supporting reasons that the nukes don't work! Don't spread rumors about war right now, it is too soon to tell the truth. To be honest, if North Korea attacked today, the US is already in position to retaliate, and numerous allied countries are prepared to support. It would not take long to turn the country into a pretty deep trench in the ocean...
